- Regardless of the political climate or the turmoil in society, the mission of the local church remains the same. The mission was given by Jesus Christ himself when he ascended back into heaven after his death, burial, and resurrection. That mission is to take the gospel around the corner and around the world. In this first message of our series, we are reminded of what that mission is, and what it will take to be effective witnesses of the Gospel both around the corner, and around the world.
